AK Acura ILX 16 Sedan Integrated Associated 2016 ILX 2.4L I-4 8-Spd DCT FWD Sedan The redesigned 2016 Acura ILX sedan debuted at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The powertrain sees the biggest change, with both Honda Civic sourced inline-4 engines being dropped in favor of the 2.4L I-4 from the Acura TLX. In addition the exterior sees sportier styling and all-LED headlamps much like in the RLX and TLX, and the interior layout has been heavily revised.
The design and powertrain changes - in conjunction with an increase in sound deadening insulation and thicker door glass - aim for a more luxurious focus and also further differentiate the ILX from it's Honda Civic platform-mates.

AK Cadillac Escalade 15 Integrated N/A 2015 Premium 6.2L V-8 6-Spd AT 4x4 The 2015 Cadillac Escalade is fully redesigned.
The new Escalade still rides on traditional body-on-frame architecture, and though luxury snobs might dismiss the idea, owners of weekend toys will not. The base rear-wheel-drive Escalade, properly equipped, can tow up to 8,200 pounds (the all-wheel-drive Escalade is rated for 8,000 pounds). The Escalade also carries over a 6.2-liter V8, but this one comes from GM's latest generation of direct-injection engines, with output increased to 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
But the Escalade's interior design and materials are unquestionably its centerpiece upgrades. Previously little better than the Suburban/Yukon twins, the cabin of the 2015 Escalade features a wealth of perforated leather, prominent stitching and genuine wood, while wrapped and tiered surfaces demonstrate a level of detail and build quality absent in previous generations.
The dash and instrument panel are anchored by the flashy -- and frustrating -- CUE multimedia system and its 8-inch touchscreen interface, but it's the larger 12.3-inch configurable gauge cluster and "driver information center" that really impresses with sharp, high-definition colors and graphics.
The second row is available with captain's chairs or a bench seat (for eight-passenger capability), and for 2015 the Escalade finally gets a fold-down third-row seat. The bad news is that it doesn't fold completely flat and its versatility eats into cargo capacity. The new Escalade drops nearly 15 cubic feet of capacity, but still delivers 94 cubes. The good news is that you no longer need to call a neighbor to help remove and stow the third row when it's not needed.
LOS14
AK Cadillac Escalade 15 ESV Integrated N/A 2015 Luxury 6.2L V-8 6-Spd AT 4x4 ESV The Cadillac Escalade ESV has been redesigned for 2015.
This is the biggest and boldest SUV in Cadillac's lineup and is related to the similarly redesigned Chevrolet Suburban. With 14 inches more between the front and rear wheels compared to the regular Escalade, third row legroom increases a significant 10 inches and cargo capacity behind those seats more than doubles. Prepped for maximum cargo, the ESV can hold a significant 120 cubic feet of stuff. It's also much easier to do that this year thanks to a new power-operated third-row seat that now folds flat into the floor like those of competitors.
As with the regular Escalade, Cadillac's gone with blockier styling and even more conspicuous flourishes for 2015. Inside, there's a sleeker and more modern look highlighted by Cadillac's latest "CUE" touch-operated infotainment system. New safety features are also part of the 2015 Escalade ESV's repertoire and include a new center front seat airbag and automatic braking for collision mitigation.
Unfortunately, there are some (perhaps understandable) trade-offs that come along with the Escalade ESV's capabilities. It's cumbersome to maneuver in tight parking lots and its truck-based underpinnings can make this SUV ride uncomfortably over ruts and sharp bumps at times. And while that new fold-flat third-row seat is nice, it forced Cadillac's engineers to raise the Escalade's already lofty cargo area load floor by an additional 4 inches. Loading bulky or heavy items could be problematic, particularly for people of smaller stature.
Given these drawbacks, you could be happier with smaller (but still large) luxury crossover SUVs such as the Infiniti QX80 or Mercedes-Benz GL-Class. They won't haul as much but they're generally nicer to drive. It's also worth checking out the updated 2015 Lincoln Navigator L, which is the ESV's closest big SUV competitor.

AK Dodge Challenger 15 Integrated N/A 2015 SRT Hellcat 6.2L Supercharged V-8 8-Spd AT RWD Coupe The 2015 Challenger moves to a new body platform, but it's a mild change that only seasoned experts will notice. Front and rear ends get subtle revisions and the coupe's dimensions should change only enough to welcome a new supercharged V8 engine, enhanced cooling system and a new eight-speed automatic transmission. A six-speed manual transmission is expected to carry over for V8 models.
It's the new supercharged engine causing the most buzz, however. The 6.2-liter "Hellcat" engine, as it's called by insiders, is smaller than the current Challenger's largest V8, but can reportedly generate more horsepower than the 660-horsepower V10 in the SRT Viper. Dodge and Chrysler officials may not let that happen, but a Challenger that can hash it out with the top Mustang GT500 and Camaro ZL1 models is an exciting prospect.
The 2015 Challenger will also finally offer the 8.4-inch touchscreen navigation and multimedia interface found in current Charger and Jeep models.

AK Ford Edge 15 Integrated N/A 2015 Sport 2.7L EcoBoost V-6 6-Spd AT AWD The 2015 Ford Edge is fully redesigned with a new look, an upgraded interior and advanced safety and entertainment systems.
The Edge now rides on Ford's global CD4 platform, which translates to an extra inch of wheelbase, an overall length that grows by 3.9 inches, and a height that increases by 1.6 inches. Width is nominally changed, losing 0.1 overall.
The new styling on the Edge maintains many of it's former shapes, but the lighting elements are modernized and make an extensive use of LEDs, the grille is tapered into a familial shape, and it boasts creased bodysides to take out some of the vertical heft.
Material and ergonomic improvements are seen in the interior, along with a return to more physical buttons for many controls. Also offered are a host of technological features like active grille shutters, adaptive cruise control, fully-assisted perpendicular or parallel parking, adaptive steering, automatic stop-start, cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring, and a 180-degree front camera w/washer.
Powertrain options start with an updated version of the 2.0L EcoBoost I-4, followed by the 3.5L V-6 offered on past Edge models. At the top of the lineup is a new 2.7L Ecoboost V-6 engine that is slated to produce over 300 horsepower. All of these engines can be paired with all-wheel drive.

Safety systems will include a collision warning system, blind-spot detection, lane departure warning, parking sensors and a 360-degree-view monitor display. Many of the K900's convenience and safety features will come standard and not only reinforce Kia's priority on exceptional value, but also justify an anticipated base price around $50,000. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder will follow the initial launch, as will a high-performance version -- likely called the RC-F -- powered by a V8. With 460 hp on tap, the RC-F should match up well against BMW's new M4 (a coupe based on the M3 sedan).

CX-3 models will be 8.5 inches longer and 3 inches wider than the Mazda2, and power will come from the 2.0L Skyactiv inline-4 also available in the Mazda3. All-wheel-drive will be an option as well.

Toyota Mirai 15: The Toyota Mirai was unveiled at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Mirai is a new fuel-cell vehicle offered for lease in Caifornia, that will be rolled out in other states as we move into the 2015 calendar year.
The Mirai is the result of several Toyota design studies over the last few years, and takes the shape of a fluid midsize sedan, with a low coefficient of drag and - unlike pure electric vehicles - has large grille and intake openings to cool the fuel cell.
The Mirai uses Toyota's Fuel Cell System (TFCS) that combines fuel cell technology using high-pressure hydrogen tanks with existing hybrid technology. This combination is significantly more energy efficient than a comparable internal combustion engine. Fuel cell vehicles also emits no carbon dioxide when operated.
The Mirai is stated to reach 60 mph in 9.0 seconds. Refueling takes between 3 and 5 minutes compared to one or several hours for electric vehicles, and the Mirai should have a range of up to 300 miles per tank.

Redesigns:

Acura ILX Sedan front 3/4

Acura ILX 16 Sedan: The redesigned 2016 Acura ILX sedan debuted at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Ford Edge 15: The 2015 Ford Edge is fully redesigned with a new look, an upgraded interior and advanced safety and entertainment systems.

Kia Sorento 16: Debuting at the 2014 LA Auto Show, the redesigned 2016 Kia Sorento sees evolutionary styling in it's updated sheet-metal, as well as all-new interior styling.
Three engines will be available on 2016 models: the familiar 185hp 2.4L I-4 and 290hp 3.3L V-6, as well as a new 240hp 2.0L turbocharged I-4 engine. A 6-speed automatic transmission will be the sole offering.
The Sorento lineup will include five trim levels - the L, LX, EX, SX and SXL. 4-cylinder models will hold five passengers and utlize a 40/20/40 second-row configuration while 6-cylinder models will have a 50/50 folding third-row for a total of seven passengers.
Nappa leather and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof are options touted in the press release.

Volvo XC90 15: The Volvo XC90 has been fully redesigned after 12 years on it's original platform.
The new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform that debuts under the new XC90 is set to underpin most of Volvo's lineup (above the 40 series) as models become due for redesigns over the next several years.
Along with a platform change that can support multiple segments of vehicles, powertrain choices for the XC90 are all-new and set to spread across other models as well. These will all be 2.0L I-4 engines, but will be available in may different outputs.
2.0L gasoline I-4 engines will join diesel and hybrid versions, with a top-of-the-line engine utilizing a hybrid electric assist motor in conjunction with turbocharging and supercharging to reach an estimated 400 horsepower.
