Floor Plan

Here we will have a few of the auto show highlights with some details about each vehicle:
Debuts:
2019 Cadillac XT4: Cadillac introduced an XT4 model that slots below the XT5 in their lineup and competes with the BMW X3, Audi Q5, and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class models. The XT4's starting sticker price will be $35,790 including destination. With an overall length that is 8.4" shorter and a wheelbase that is 3.1" shorter than the XT5, this new model also clocks in 325 pounds lighter. The dimensions place it in a middle ground between the Audi Q3 and Q5, as well as the BMW X1 and X3.
The XT4 inherits Cadillac design cues like the 'L' shaped front and rear lights, as well as the angular styling. Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trims will be offered, each with distinctive styling cues and amenities. Sport models will have a gloss-black mesh grille, gloss-black window moldings and unique wheels while Luxury and Premium Luxury models have brighter grilles and satin window trim.
The XT4 will have an available 4G LTE connection, connected navigation, news, marketplace, and entertainment apps as well as standard active safety technologies. Cadillac has also stated that the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving functions will eventually be added to XT4 models. Other features include electric-hydraulic brake assist, continuous damping control, a power liftgate actuated with a foot sensor, and a second-generation Rear Camera Mirror that can be set to different views or zoom levels.
237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque are delivered by the 2.0L turbocharged I-4 - it is tied to a 9-speed automatic transmission and is offered with front- or all-wheel drive (the all-wheel-drive system can decouple from the rear axle to improve fuel efficiency. Predicted fuel economy ratings are 25 mpg city / 30 mpg highway / 27 mpg combined.
Redesigns / Refreshes:
2019 Acura RDX: The production version of the all-new 2019 RDX was released at the 2018 New York Auto Show - it will be powered by a 2.0L turbocharged I-4 engine and will also see a sporty A-Spec variant. The 2019 Acura RDX will hit dealerships in the summer of 2018. This model was closely previewed by an RDX prototype in January of 2018 in Detroit and will ride on a brand-new platform (with a 2.6" longer wheelbase) that is not shared with any Honda models.
The taillamps are slightly lengthened compared to the concept version, and they integrate larger clear areas to house the reverse lights. The RDX stays close to the prototype, bringing Acura's new Diamond Pentagon grille shape and Jewel Eye headlights into production.
The interior is brightened by a standard panoramic sunroof. The interior features higher-end materials than before and is based around a high mounted 10.2" central display underneath which are Acura's unique gear select buttons and a knob to select driving settings.
Buyers can opt for front-wheel-drive or move up to Acura's SH-AWD system which can direct 70% of the power rearward when needed or 100% of the power to one side of the vehicle if necessary.Despite a small drop in horsepower, the new RDX has increased torque over a larger rpm range, and is likely to outperform the prior model.A lone engine will be offered on the RDX - a 2.0L turbo I-4 with 272 hp and 280 lb ft of torque tied to a 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
Standard AcuraWatch safety tech includes auto braking, lane departure warnings, adaptive cruise control, and low-speed follow with lane-keep assist. There is a new 710-watt audio system with Apple CarPlay compatibility, available 4G LTE WiFi tied to the AcuraLink Connected Services. The revised infotainment system uses a concave touchpad that is mapped to the infotainment display so that users don't have to control a cursor.
Redesigns / Refreshes:
2019 BMW X4: BMW's X4 model enters it's second generation - the new model is slightly larger than before, gaining 3.2 inches in length, 2.1 inches in wheelbase, and 1.5 inches in width. New models also lose as much as 110 pounds compared to the last generation and the coefficient of drag drops to a class-leading 0.30.
The revised styling adds hexagonal shapes, most prominently seen in the new wheel arches. All trims levels will use LED head- and taillamps.
Concepts:
Lincoln Aviator Concept: Lincoln resurrected the Aviator name on a concept that previews a three-row crossover based on the next generation Explorer's bones - the Aviator is also likely to replace the MKT in Lincoln's lineup. The Lincoln Aviator Concept's exterior design is said to strongly preview the upcoming production model and will share it's underpinnings with the next generation Ford Explorer.
The interior of the Aviator borrows several cabin design cues from the Navigator, and also brings over the 30-way adjustable seats from the Continental. Lincoln's new Co-Pilot360 Safety Suite will be included (adding automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane keep assist). An electronic, smart phone operated key will be available to lock/unlock and start the vehicle, as well.
Although powertrain details are scarce, the Aviator will be the first Lincoln with plug-in technology. Both the plug-in and gasoline engine will be mated to a twin-turbocharged engine, likely a V-6.
Genesis Essentia Concept: Genesis brought an all-electric GT concept to the 2018 New York Auto Show. The Essentia is all-electric, with the battery pack in the center tunnel between the seats. Although it's a concept vehicle, Genesis has said that the concept would have a 0-60 time of just 3 seconds.
The Essentia follows traditional GT proportions, with a carbon fiber monocoque and exterior design predicated on aerodynamics. Because it's an all-electric vehicle, the hood is transparent and the chassis can be seen through it.
Several different materials are used inside, including layered carbon fiber on the dash, piano black trim, and chevron-patterned leather seats. The interior has a wide-screen infotainment display that stretches across the entire width of the cockpit, along with a large digital instrument cluster for the driver.Because this is a sports car and not an autonomous concept, there is a flat-bottomed steering wheel for full driver control.Interior Design
The Genesis Essentia Concept is equipped with several different features designed for driver comfort and convenience. A Genesis Intelligent Assistant will keep the driver up to date on weather and traffic conditions while also allowing for voice control (including linking to connected smart home software) and driver personalization and memorization features (for seat, audio, chassis, and performance settings).
