Debut

2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer

2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Chevrolet is reviving the Trailblazer nameplate with an all-new small crossover that slots between the subcompact Chevrolet Trax and the Chevrolet Equinox. The Trailblazer uses the Trax and the much larger Blazer as styling inspiration. The Trailblazer shares many components with the all-new and similarly sized Buick Encore GX, including the drivetrain and available engines. The 2021 Trailblazer will arrive in showrooms in the spring of 2020, with pricing announced closer to its arrival.

The Trailblazer features a blunt front end with slim accent lights intersecting with the upper grille shape while larger headlamp housings are set into the middle section of the bumper. The side profile features deep cutlines and a contrasting roof that appears to float thanks to the trim on the C-pillar. The rear brings in Camaro-inspired taillamps and a skidplate styled diffuser on certain trim levels.

The Trailblazer will share its engine choices with the Buick Encore GX - a 1.2L turbo I-3 making 137 hp/162 lb ft and a 1.3L turbo I-3 making 155 hp / 174 lb ft. The 1.2L engine comes only with front-wheel drive and is equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), while the 1.3L offers optional all-wheel drive and comes exclusively with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The Trailblazer will be equipped with Chevy’s newest infotainment system, which allows two Bluetooth devices to be connected at the same time. It will have available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration as well as Sirius XM satellite radio. Standard safety features include lane-keeping assist and lane-departure warning, as well as automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection. Available features will include adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring.

The Trailblazer is a bit more spacious than the Trax - Chevrolet claims a total cargo capacity of 54 cubic feet with the 60/40-split second-row seats folded (six cubic feet more than the Trax and 10 cubic feet less than the Blazer). The interior layout is also a blend of Trax and Blazer cues, with a true floor console rather than fold-down seat-mounted armrests.

Redesign

2020 Nissan Sentra Sedan

2020 Nissan Sentra Sedan

The Nissan Sentra has been completely redesigned for 2020 - this model competes with the Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, Mazda3, Subaru Impreza, Toyota Corolla, and Volkswagen Golf. The new Sentra now looks like a downsized version of the midsized Altima and large Maxima sedans. The Sentra is expected to cost between $17,000 and $25,000 and will go on sale in January of 2020.

The Sentra receives a large V-Motion grille, sleeker headlamps, and more modern lines. The side profile shows black trim used to separate the roof and C-pillar and chrome trim adds flair to higher trims.

The sole powertrain will be a 2.0L I-4 engine sending 149 hp to a continuously variable transmission and then on to the front wheels.

The base Sentra comes with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display that includes Google Assistant and Siri Eyes Free voice recognition systems. A 4.2-inch digital cluster display sits between the speedometer and tachometer gauges and presents driving information such as fuel economy. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are not available on the base trim but the SV and SR trims include standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 7.0 inch cluster display, and an 8.0 inch touchscreen mounted high up on the dashboard. The new Sentra receives a lot of standard advanced safety equipment - in addition to AEB and BSW, the Nissan Safety Shield 360 includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, rear cross traffic warning, and lane departure warning. There is also a standard driver monitoring system to help prevent a driver from operating the car when drowsy, and rear door alert, which reminds the driver to check the rear seat before locking the car and walking away.

The new Sentra has chrome details and contrasting stitching on the dash, seats, and door panels, and more soft materials than the outgoing model. Key climate and infotainment controls use large buttons and knobs rather than just touchscreen menus. The climate controls sit mid-dash, below three large, round vents - these round vents are a significant departure from other Nissan interiors.

Refresh

2020 Genesis G90 Sedan

2020 Genesis G90 Sedan

Following its launch overseas, Genesis is introducing the new G90 Sedan to the US at the LA Auto Show. Despite being a mid-cycle refresh, the exterior changes are more significant.

Some of the most obvious visual changes are found in the front, with a new "Crest" grille, refreshed headlamps, new front fenders, and a revised hood. The rear now features a large, full-width taillight strip across the entire decklid. The refresh also adds an integrated rear spoiler and dual exhaust tips with a similar design to the front grille.

Two powertrain options are available: a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 and a 5.0-liter V8. The V-6 offers 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque while the V-8 will produce 420 horsepower and 383 lb-ft. Both engine variants are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but AWD is available as an option with both powertrains.

Several Driver Assistance features have been added, including Lane Centering, Forward AND Rear Automatic Emergency Braking, and a Vehicle Exit Warning.

Aside from a new 12.3-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and over-the-air update functionality, it remains largely unchanged. Cabin noise levels have improved thanks to new sound-absorbing materials throughout the cabin, including laminated glass on all windows and the new Active Noise Cancellation system.

Concept

Volkswagen ID. Space Vizzion

Volkswagen ID. Space Vizzion

The ID. Space Vizzion concept previews an all-electric wagon that Volkswagen says may come to the United States in 2022.

The ID Vizzion concept is a larger version of the ID Vizzion sedan concept shown in 2018. The vehicle is atop 22-inch wheels and is approximately Atlas sized. It's about 10 inches longer than the 2020 Tiguan SUV. To both match the futuristic looks of the vehicle and help with aerodynamics, traditional door handles are replaced with flush electronic handles. To open the doors, drivers must tap on a touchpad on the exterior (or interior) of the vehicle.

Volkswagen claims the estimated range will be 300 miles, coming from an 82 kWh battery. An AWD variant will be available that adds an electric motor to the front axle, bringing the total horsepower to 355.

Inside the cabin is an eye-catching 15.6-inch touchscreen. There's also a traditional digital instrument cluster display, although Volkswagen says all important driving information will be projected in augmented reality on the windshield instead. The roof is panoramic glass, but unlike most others in the segment, it can tilt and slide. The seats, door trims, and armrests are all made from sustainable materials.

Coverage Integration

This list provides a quick overview of what was released at the show and acts as a log of live image, press kit image, and OEM press release integration into our Vehicle Information Center:

Vehicle Name Level of Change Image Status Press Release Status Trim Level Captured Comment
Acura MDX 20 Trim Integrated Integrated MDX PMC Edition w/Tech and A-Spec pkgs 3.5L V-6 9-Spd AT AWD The Acura TLX PMC Edition debuted at the New York Auto Show earlier this year, the 2020 Acura MDX PMC Edition takes its turn in Los Angeles on November 20. The MDX PMC, hand-built at the Performance Manufacturing Center like the Acura NSX and TLX before it, will be limited to 330 units. The 300 examples destined for the U.S. and 30 for Canada represent 30 fewer units than the quota for the TLX PMC. That could translate into tighter demand for the MDX PMC, since the standard crossover does about 70 percent more business in the U.S. than the standard sedan. The doted-on MDX PMC follows the formula of combining Valencia Red Pearl paint with the normally-exclusive Advanced and A-Spec packages. Dark contrasts come from the body color grille surrounding gloss-black mesh, black chrome exhaust finishers, gloss-black decorating the roof, antenna, exterior mirrors, window molding, rear license plate garnish, and door handles, and gloss black 20-inch wheels. Inside is found an A-Spec steering wheel backed by metal-finished paddle shifters, black Milano leather seats with Alcantara inserts, red stitching throughout, and an individually numbered plaque identifying the build number. Extra luxury kit includes GPS-linked climate control, climate-controlled front- and second-row seats with second-row captain's chairs, and 10-speaker ELS Studio audio. The engine specs don't change, those being a 3.5-liter V6 with 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque shifting through a nine-speed automatic. Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive keeps the power in shape.
Alfa Romeo Giulia 20 Sedan Refresh Integrated Integrated Giulia 2.0L turbo I-4 8-Spd AT AWD The Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio have been refreshed for the 2020MY. The exteriors seem untouched, but the interior designs have been upgraded to look and feel more premium. Both models get a new 8.8-inch touchscreen for the upgraded infotainment system which now offers a Wi-Fi hotspot, over-the-air software upgrades, integrated emergency call function, and call assistant function. In addition, the multimedia system offers new functions available via the smartphone such as remote control lock, unlock and light flash, determination of a stolen vehicle’s location, and more. Also new are the leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel and gear lever, as well as dashboard materials which are apparently nicer to look at and touch.

Audi e-tron 21 Sportback Electric Debut Integrated Integrated e-tron Electric 1-Spd AT AWD Sportback The e-tron Sportback is the second e-tron model that will come to market. The e-tron Sportback will take the shape of a sloped roofline coupe-inspired crossover with a slightly sportier rear end than the regular e-tron - all for the sake of extra style at the expense of practicality since rear headroom and cargo capacity are likely to take a hit. The e-tron Sportback should feature the same powertrain as the already-available e-tron, which means 402 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque along with all-wheel-drive. A more powerful S version is believed to be in the works but not confirmed yet.
Audi Q8 20 Hybrid Trim Integrated Integrated RS Q8 4.0L twin turbo V-8 8-Spd AT AWD RS Q8 trim with mild hybrid system debuts.
BMW 2-Series 20 Gran Coupe Debut Integrated Integrated M235i 2.0L turbo I-4 8-Spd AT AWD For 2020, BMW is releasing a four-door Gran Coupe bearing the 2-Series name (but riding on a FWD-based, transverse engine platform). Exterior Design: The 2-Series Gran Coupe bears some resembles to the larger 8-Series Gran Coupe, albeit with blunter proportions. There is an aggressive front fascia beneath chiseled headlights. The car also has the Gran Coupe line's signature long greenhouse, and the rear has a typical BMW lip and slim wide taillights that help obscure the car's tall, narrow shape. But the model's small-car nature still shows up in the proportionally tall roofline and its short nose and tail. The profile is a bit slab-sided, and the DLO does not bear a traditional BMW Hofmeister kink. Powertrain: There are two transverse engines available in the 2 Series Gran Coupe. The first powers the 228i xDrive and is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four making 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque that will get the 228i to 60 mph in 6 seconds on the way to a maximum top speed of 151 mph with performance tires. It's coupled to an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, just like all 2 Series Gran Coupe models, and the all-wheel-drive system is front-drive biased, but can distribute up to 50% of power to either axle. The other engine comes in the M235i xDrive and is a modified turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with a bigger turbo, beefier internals and extra engine radiators. It makes 301 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, and it can propel the M235i to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds on the way to a top speed of 155 mph. With the M Performance Package, it can do the sprint to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds.
BMW 8-Series 20 Gran Coupe Refresh Integrated Integrated M850i 4.4L twin turbo V-8 8-Spd AT AWD BMW also announced that production models will go on sale this September. It will almost certainly offer the same turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 as the M850i, which makes 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. That model also comes with all-wheel drive and an eight -speed automatic, both of which will probably be featured on the 8 Series Gran Coupe. If BMW adds less powerful engine options on the coupe, expect them to also show up in the Gran Coupe. As is the case with other Gran Coupe models, the 8 Series Gran Coupe will probably be priced ever so slightly lower than the $112,895 base price of the two-door car.
BMW X3 20 Plug-In Hybrid Alt Energy Integrated Integrated X3 xDrive30e 2.0L turbo I-4 8-Spd AT AWD Plug-In Hybrid BMW is adding a plug-in hybrid model to the X3 lineup for 2020 - the X3 xDrive30e. The exterior styling is nearly identical to the sportier X3 M40i models, with large air intakes and deep side sills. xDrive30e badging at the rear and a charge port are the only visual cues unique to the plug-in model. BMW’s familiar 2.0L turbo I-4 combines with power from a 12 kWh battery pack to make 292 hp/310 lb-ft of torque, sent on to an 8-speed automatic transmission. BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system splits power from either source between the front and rear wheels. BMW is expecting a North American all-electric range of roughly 20 miles.
BMW X5 20 Refresh Integrated Integrated X5 M 4.4L twin turbo V-8 8-Spd AT AWD X5 M models debut.

Buick Encore GX 20 Bodystyle Integrated Integrated GX 1.2L I-3 2-Spd CVT FWD For now, it’s not clear where the U.S.-spec Encore GX will be made, but, unlike the Envision, it’s not expected to be imported from China. Buick has already confirmed that a model would be added to its lineup later this year, and all signs seem to point to the Encore GX. The new compact SUV is expected to go on sale in the States before the end of this year at the earliest and will be sold alongside the current Encore. That’s because the new Encore subcompact SUV unveiled in China will not make it to America, according to the same sources. Based on GM’s new Global Emerging Markets (GEM) platform, the smaller crossover will be built and sold in China.
Cadillac CT4 20 Sedan Debut Integrated Integrated CT4-V 2.7L twin turbo V-6 10-Spd AT AWD According to Motor1, the high-performance model will debut later this month and be joined by the CT4. Cadillac has been tight-lipped about the cars, but the CT5-V could come equipped with the company’s twin-turbo 4.2-liter V8. The engine produces 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and 574 lb-ft (777 Nm) of torque in standard form, while it develops 550 hp (410 kW / 557 PS) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque in the range-topping CT6-V. There’s no word on what the CT5-V will be rated at, but it will effectively replace the CTS-V which had a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 640 hp (477 kW / 649 PS) and 630 lb-ft (853 Nm) of torque. This enabled the sedan to rocket from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.7 seconds and onto a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h).
Cadillac CT5 20 Sedan Trim Integrated Integrated CT5-V 3.0L twin turbo V-6 10-Spd AT AWD The 2020 Cadillac CT5 won’t be launched until fall, but it appears the company will introduce the all-new CT5-V on May 30th. According to Motor1, the high-performance model will debut later this month and be joined by the CT4. As the name suggests, the new Fiat 500X Sport offers a more aggressive take on the Italian SUV. Prices for the new 2020 Fiat 500X Sport start from $26,895, excluding destination charges. The rest of the 2020 500X lineup includes the Pop, Trekking and Trekking Plus models, with the more affordable Pop starting from $24,590. Inside the cabin, we find a dark headliner and pillars, new door and console bezel surface finishes, a techno-leather steering wheel with red stitching and Alcantara inserts, aluminum pedal covers, new cluster graphics and an Alcantara-trimmer instrument cluster cowl. Finally there are exclusive Sport seats dressed in black fabric with vinyl inserts and a seven-inch Uconnect 4 infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Unlike the Euro-spec models, the 2020 Fiat 500X Sport will be offered with just one powertrain option and all-wheel drive; more specifically the turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder petrol with 177 HP and 210 lb-ft of torque, paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Fiat claims a fuel economy of up to 30 mph highway, saying that the 500X Sport is the only model in its segment to offer this fuel economy on the highway and standard all-wheel drive. There’s no mention of any changes on the chassis setup of the new NA-spec 500X Sport in Fiat’s press release; we do know however that European models are getting special FSD dampers and a recalibrated steering rack.
Ford Mustang Mach-E 21 Electric Debut Integrated Integrated Mach-E4X Electric 1-Spd AT AWD The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is a new electric crossover bearing the Mustang nameplate. Four doors, electric power, and all-wheel drive are all Mustang firsts. There is obvious Mustang influence to the Mach-E's front and rear bodywork, especially in the fenders, triple-bar taillights and headlights. On the other hand, the faux grille shaped apes Ford's other crossovers, and the hatchback roofline and door count mean the side profile looks similar to the recently redesigned Escape.

The Hybrid model will deliver power to all four wheels and does not sacrifice any cargo space since the lithium-ion battery pack has been mounted below the load floor. Nonhybrid 2020 CR-V models went on sale this fall - hybrid versions will arrive at the beginning of 2020.

The revamped EV will be able to go 170 miles on a full charge, up from 124 miles in the 2019 version. That increase is due to the a larger, 38.3-kWh battery pack in the 2020 model that replaces the 28.0-kWh pack in the 2019 version. This claimed full charge range is still less than the big EV players like the Tesla Model 3, Nissan Leaf, and Chevrolet Bolt EV. For reference, the 2019 Ioniq Electric started at $30,315.

Karma SC2 Electric Coupe Concept Concept Integrated Integrated Karma SC2 Electric Concept Karma has revealed a new all-electric concept car ahead of the Los Angeles Auto Show, called the SC2. It's a two-seater coupe with 1100 horsepower, all-wheel drive, 350 miles of range, and a 0-60 mph time of just 1.9 seconds. Karma says the SC2 is supposed to represent the future of its brand. Currently, the only production car the company makes is the Revero, a hybrid based on the now-defunct Fisker Karma sedan. This new concept packs a 120kWh battery mounted in the center tunnel, sending energy to all four wheels via two electric motors, one at each axle. There's also torque vectoring, a motorsports-style push-rod suspension setup, and carbon ceramic brakes.
Kia Niro 20 Hybrid Refresh Integrated Integrated Touring 1.6L I-4 6-Spd DCT FWD Hybrid The Kia Niro Hybrid is mildly refreshed for 2020. Despite being a mid-cycle refresh, the exterior changes are more significant. Exterior changes look quite similar to the European-spec Niro that was revealed earlier this year. New headlamps are added, along with chevron shaped fog lights and a revised grille with diamond-shaped inserts. The rear end is also refreshed, with some gray trim designed to look like a skid plate. The outgoing hybrid powertrain, a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine (mated to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission) and an electric motor drawing power from a 1.56-kWh battery pack carries over. Fuel economy figures are approximately 50 mpg in a combined cycle. A few Driver Assistance features have been added, including Lane Keep Assist and Automatic High Beams. The Instrument Cluster is now a 7.0-inch digital cluster, and the standard 8.0-inch infotainment system has been refreshed as well. A 10.25-inch upgrade with navigation is available. New options include shift paddles that coordinate with regenerative braking, an electronic parking brake, and ambient lighting (with 6 available color schemes to choose from).
Kia Seltos 21 Debut Integrated Integrated SX 1.6L turbo I-4 7-Spd DCT AWD The 2021 Kia Seltos made its U.S. debut at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show - larger than other subcompact SUVs with a smaller base price it aims to be a value choice in its segment. The Seltos has a fairly traditional shape for the segment, though cladding and a unique grille shape toughen up the look. There are contrasting roof colors, C-pillar trim, and a rising beltline that evoque the styling of the Nissan Kicks or Toyota C-HR.
Land Rover Defender 20 5-Door Hybrid Debut Integrated Integrated 110 First Edition 3.0L turbo and supercharged I-6 8-Spd AT 4x4 Hybrid Land Rover has completely redesigned the offroad oriented Defender model, and it will launch in the US in two different versions - the 5-door 110 model and the 3-door 90 model.
Lexus LC 21 Convertible Bodystyle Integrated Integrated LC 500 5.0L V-8 10-Spd AT RWD Lexus is adding a convertible version of the LC500 for the 2021 model year, following a concept version seen last year. The LC500 convertible is launching with 100 examples in a limited Structural Blue with white leather interior. Android Auto and lane-keeping assist are listed as new additions to the car's standard features (which should apply to all 2021 LC models). Adding a convertible top required abandoning the coupe model's fastback roofline, but most other details are shared with the hardtop model. The LC500 convertible's top retracts in 15 seconds and motors back into place in 16 seconds. The LC500 convertible uses the same 471 hp 5.0L V-8 engine as the LC500 coupe. Lexus claims that the convertible model has been designed to retain the handling and driving dynamics of the hardtop model thanks to structural braces that help maintain the rigidity of the car's chassis. An overall weight of 4,497 pounds means the convertible model is ~120 pounds heavier than the LC500 coupe (but slightly lighter than the LC500h hybrid model).
Lincoln Corsair 20 Plug-In Hybrid Alt Energy Integrated Integrated Grand Touring 2.5L I-4 2-Spd CVT AWD Plug-In Hybrid Following the pattern established by the larger Aviator, Lincoln has added a plug-in hybrid version of the Corsair called the 'Grand Touring'. Most of the styling is identical to the nonhybrid models, but a couple cues set the Grand Touring models apart - unique 20-inch wheels and a unique grille with the Lincoln star emblem in Spirit Blue (a color used on some classic Lincoln models). The Grand Touring model uses a 2.5L I-4 gas engine paired with two electric motors to make ~266 hp. Lincoln anticipates an all-electric driving range of “more than” 25 miles. The Corsair Grand Touring also uses an electric all-wheel-drive system that sends electric power to the rear wheels, supplementing the gas-powered front wheels.
Mazda CX-30 20 Debut Integrated Integrated Premium 2.5L I-4 6-Spd AT AWD The new CX-30 SUV joins the Mazda lineup, splitting the difference in size between the CX-3 subcompact and CX-5 compact SUV. The CX-30 has more coupe-like SUV styling than the CX-5 and has a footprint closer in size to the popular Honda HR-V and Nissan Rogue Sport SUVs. The design shows off the updated Kodo styling theme that rolled out on the redesigned Mazda3 compact sedan. Slim LED headlights stretch away from the big and low Mazda-style grille for the trademark wing look amid a clean bumper devoid of extra decoration or vents. The low and wide look of the front end stretches into a rising beltline under a low roofline that slopes into a narrowed and similarly clean rear end with slim taillights and curved sculpting. All CX-30s use a 186-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that drives a six-speed automatic transmission.Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is a $1,400 option on all trim levels.
Mazda CX-5 20 Minor Change Integrated Integrated Grand Touring 2.5L I-4 6-Spd AT AWD The 2020 Mazda CX-5 is getting a little more desirable in the new model year. It’s also slightly more expensive. Most of the benefits are realized with the 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. This engine gets a small boost in torque, going from 310 pound-feet to 320 pound-feet. Horsepower stays the same at 250 horses, and the max power is still made using 93 octane fuel. We saw a similar torque gain in the 2020 CX-9. Mazda says it also added a new “Engine Harmonics Enhancer” that “tunes to the engine with a much more refined and powerful sound.” We’re guessing the turbocharged engine is going to sound just a hair better in 2020. When equipped with the turbocharged engine and all-wheel drive, the CX-5 also gets an off-road traction assist feature. Similar to the CX-9’s system, Mazda says “when the diagonal wheels lose traction, off-road traction assist will stop reducing the engine torque and increase the brake force on the wheels without traction.” Mazda says all CX-5s will also take advantage of improved NVH, making the CX-5 feel a bit more premium and isolated from the road. Every CX-5 will also be equipped with Mazda’s suite of i-Activsense safety features as standard in 2020, as well. This means adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist are both standard features now. As Mazda tries its best to move into the premium space, it’s changed all the fonts on the badging and displays on the car. Although, Mazda neglected to include any photos of the new look, so we’ll wait to judge on that front. The premium look and feel comes with a slightly higher price than 2019. A base Sport is $740 more expensive than last year, coming in at $26,135 after the $1,045 destination charge. The most luxurious Signature trim is just a touch more expensive than last year (by $165) at $38,100.
Mazda CX-9 20 Minor Change Integrated Integrated Signature 2.5L turbo I-4 6-Spd AT AWD The CX-9 features numerous performance upgrades and new improvements, including an Engine Harmonic Enhancer, increased maximum torque and off-road traction assist. There are also all-new available second-row captain's chairs, hands-free power liftgate and a larger nine-inch touchscreen display.

In addition, the dynamic duo uses an air suspension and a nine-speed automatic transmission hooked up to the 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system equipped with fully variable torque distribution. The AWD system can send up to 100% of power to the rear wheels or distribute it evenly between the two axles, depending on the situation.

Nissan Titan 20 LD Crew Cab Refresh Integrated Integrated PRO-4X 5.6L V-8 9-Spd AT 4x4 Standard Bed Crew Cab The 2020 Titan is a refresh of the truck first introduced in 2016. Outside, it gets new front-end styling that makes it a bit less Ford-like, although to be fair, it's the F-150 that changed more than the Titan. There are unique grilles and styling cues for different trim levels, including a red Nissan badge for the Pro-4X and an absurd amount of chrome for the mid-level SL. Inside, the Titan gets several much-needed improvements, including bigger touch screens (8.0 or 9.0 inches) and a reshuffled center stack. The Titan's 5.6-liter V-8 gets a power bump to 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft, bettering the standard V-8s in all other full-size pickups, along with a new nine-speed automatic transmission. New standard safety kit includes automatic emergency braking front and rear, blind-spot detection, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. The Titan's epic five-year/100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty makes a return appearance. Nissan has simplified the body/bed lineup for 2020, too, now offering either an extended King cab with a 6.5-foot bed or a crew cab with a 5.5-foot bed; both the single cab and 8.0-foot bed are gone. The heavier duty (but not quite fully heavy duty) 2020 Titan XD model which will trail the regular Titan's showroom arrival by a couple of months - drops its King cab option, coming only as a long-wheelbase model with a crew cab and six-foot, five-inch bed. The XD's Cummins V-8 diesel has been dropped - no big loss, as the engine never really lived up to its potential—and there was no mention of the oft-promised-but-never-delivered V-6 engine.

Porsche Taycan 20 Electric Trim Integrated Integrated 4S Electric 2-Spd AT AWD Porsche is extending its electric sports sedan range with the addition of the new Taycan 4S, which slots below the Turbo and Turbo S that start from $150,000. Pricing for the new Porsche Taycan 4S starts from a much lower $103,800 in the US ($110,380 for the Performance Battery Plus version), £83,367 in the UK and 105,607 euros in its home market in Germany. Order books are now open, with deliveries expected to commence in January in Europe and next spring in the States. The new Taycan 4S will offer up to 522 HP (530 PS) in overboost, but customers will be given the option of a Performance Battery Plus package that raises the output during overboost to 563 HP (571 PS). This makes it 100 HP less powerful than its 671 HP Turbo sibling and 187 HP shy of the range-topping Turbo S that can go up to 750 HP. As standard, the new Taycan 4S is fitted with a 79.2 kWh battery pack, which provides a 252-mile (405 km) driving range. If, however, you opt for the aforementioned Performance Battery Plus package, you’ll get a bigger 93.4 kWh unit that lifts the driving range to up to 287 miles (462 km), according to the WLTP testing cycle. Maximum charging capacity is 225kW with the standard battery and 270kW for the Performance Battery Plus version. Both models hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.0 seconds flat, while top speed is limited to 155 mph (250 km/h). The new Porsche Taycan 4S features the same setup with its more powerful siblings, meaning two electric motors, one on each axle, for all-wheel drive and a two-speed transmission mounted on the rear. On the outside, the Taycan 4S is distinguished from the Turbo and Turbo S by the aero-optimized 19-inch alloy wheels and red brake calipers, as well as having the front apron, side sills and rear diffused finished in black. The cabin remains largely the same, with highlights including the free-standing curved digital instrument cluster, the central 10.9-inch infotainment display and an optional passenger display. Partial leather upholstery is offered as standard, as well as front comfort seats with eight-way electric adjustment.

Toyota RAV4 Prime 21 Plug-In Hybrid Alt Energy Integrated Integrated XSE 2.5L I-4 2-Spd CVT AWD Plug-In Hybrid Toyota has expanded the RAV4 lineup with the addition of the plug-in hybrid Prime model - the most fuel efficient and most powerful version of the RAV4 to date. The 2021 RAV4 Prime goes on sale in the summer of 2020 and is available in SE and XSE trim levels. There are not many exterior details besides the discreet charging port that distinguish the Prime model from other RAV4s. The SE comes with 18-inch wheels while the XSE adds two-tone exterior paint, 19-inch wheels, and LED accent lights. XSE buyers can upgrade to adaptive front headlights. Powering the RAV4 Prime is the 2.5L Atkinson-cycle I-4 engine from the RAV4 Hybrid (making 176 hp) but the addition of a new high-capacity lithium-ion battery pack and booster converter results a total output of 302 hp. This figure means it can reach 60 mph in just 5.8 seconds, making it the second quickest accelerating vehicle in Toyota’s current lineup (behind the Supra). Projected to return 90 MPGe, the RAV4 Prime will be able to travel up to 39 miles on electric power alone.

Volkswagen ID. Space Vizzion Electric Concept Concept Integrated Integrated Volkswagen ID. Space Vizzion Electric Concept
