The 2013 NAIAS show includes debuts of new or redesigned production models like the 2014 Audi R8 Coupe, the 2014 Chevy Silverado Light Duty, and GMC Sierra Light Duty trucks, the 2014 Lexus IS Sedan, and the convertible version of the 2013 Volkswagen Beetle. The North American International Auto Show also included a large number of nearly production ready concepts or prototypes, a trend that has been increasing in recent years. These included vehicles like Acura's MDX and NSX prototypes, the BMW Concept 4-Series Coupe, the Ford Atlas Concept, Honda's Urban SUV Concept, and Volkswagen's Passat Performance Concept.
